If you enjoy teaching then becoming a flight instructor can be a very good way to enter the aviation industry. Teaching others how to fly is also an excellent way to keep your own knowledge and skills sharp. Many pilots find this to be a very exciting and rewarding career path.

Requirements

Minimum Age 18 years

Medical Fitness:
Category 1 Medical Certificate

Knowledge:
Minimum 25 hours Instructor Rating ground school. Must obtain a minimum of 70% on the written examination Flight Instructor Aeroplane.

Experience:
Minimum 30 hours of flight instruction in accordance with the Flight Instructor Guide.

Skill:
Successful completion of a Flight Instructor flight test.
